Seattle Dog Works - realizes that their clients are real people who live real, busy, and sometimes hectic lives. There approach takes a candid, realistic look at client needs to build a system of training right for them. This approach does have a secondary element of obedience, but its primary focuses are manners and emotional soundness.  In other words, sit, stay, and lie down are great and are somewhat useful, but more relevant challenges are things like jumping on visitors, pulling on leash, surfing the counters, jumping on furniture when not invited, barking, bursting through the door, etc. The trainers at Seattle Dog Works frequently find themselves saying, "I don't care if my dog can sit if he eats my turkey off the table!"

FunQwest Dog Sports - Pritamo has been involved in dog training for over thirty years.  She and her "roadside special" Noodge, began their adventures in dog agility in 1990. Following several years as a volunteer instructor for Rainier Agility Team, Pritamo started FunQuest Dog Sports.  FunQuest offers private agility coaching, puppy introduction lessons, small group classes and training seminars.

Joyce's Dog Obedience Services - specialty is training people to train their dogs. They offer various classes as well as many types of private consultation. Their teaching methods consider the needs of the human learner as well as the dog. Training techniques are based on establishing leadership (not to be confused with dominance!). Their mission is to set up handler and dog for maximum success while using positive reinforcement only, rather than punishment. They also recognize that every dog and every owner form a unique partnership.

Our instructors are specialists who utilize modern and humane training techniques developed from the field of Animal Learning Theory.
