So to know me is to know that I am a total fad person. I will finally admit it. I AM A FAD PERSON! And no, there is nothing wrong with that...sort of. But what can I do? I cannot change who I am - can I? All I know is that one minute I will love something, for a week or two; sometimes the love affair may even last a whole month but then it is over - just like that. I do this with everything from food to hobbies.
Last month I was hooked on Lean Cuisine Ravioli with a side of salad (the caesar salad was hand made by me, of course and it was scrumptious!). I swear the Ravioli tasted awesome, definitely not like something Mama Maria would make from a little town in Italy, but good enough for a quick meal PLUS I knew exactly how many calories I was consuming - just another bonus. So this fad last for about a month - I really thought I was cured and it would be a lifelong staple - but I was wrong. One day, just the other week actually, I reached into the freezer for my trusty meal that would satisfy my hunger and be ready in 5 minutes - another bonus. It was there alright alongside the other 5 packets that are waiting to be eaten but unfortunately everything had changed. Just like that the meal that was ever so scrumptious just the day before tasted bland...processed even. I blamed a bad pack and tried a different one the following day but alas the packaging was not to blame - it was all me!
So here I am with a hunger that cannot be quenched by Lean Cuisine Ravioli, not this month anyway. I think I feel like some Salmon. Yes, I have a yearning for Salmon. Yes, a delicious piece of fresh Salmon from Whole Foods Market, of course. You know the one that cost about 19.99 per lb. Yummm that is the one to die for, and you can't get a healthier food than Salmon with all those wonderful Omega 3's that our bodies need. Yes, some salmon, asparagus and a serve of garlic mashed potatoes - this certainly sounds good to me.
I also loved the portion control factor - and they were filling little meals.

I love that ravioli too! Lean Cuisine makes some pretty tasty frozen meals. What I like abut them is that I have instant portion control- I can't go back for seconds :)
