I am changing my motto.
No longer will I state '3rd time lucky' as that statement is an obvious fallacy.
We are now home-less.
Not in the literal sense of the word. We are without our cute little home that I bragged about yesterday. Maybe I shouldn't have counted my chickens before they had hatched.
Well I can safely say that the chickens have left the building.
The chickens are no more.
And who needs chickens anyway. Smelly little creatures that they are.
To cut a long story short, we are not the proud owners of a cute little home. You know the one, I posted about it yesterday, even going so far as posting a photo. Are you surprised that I didn't cut and paste images of Joel and I standing by the front door? Call me slightly obsessive.
We had the inspection today and the house failed the inspection. Don't get me wrong, we are not that fussy, and could deal with some minor flaws but the inpectors went underneath the house and were back breathing the fresh air in about 3 minutes. Hey, that could be a good sign, right? That is what I was trying to convince myself, but we all know that is a bad sign, a very bad sign.
The inspectors could not gain access to most of the home, which could mean a number of things, or could turn into a number of problems that we just don't want to have to deal with.
So the search is on for another home for me to obsess over, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as I love viewing homes...something to do with the inner voyeur in me?
Thanks for the encouragement Katherine!

That's a bummer, but.... I am a firm believer in that when you find the RIGHT house nothing in the universe can stop you from getting it, so just be thankful you didn't get the WRONG house. My mom has plenty of stories of this happening and it ALWAYS happened for the better. A few weeks after the let down, she always found the PERFECT house. It'll happen for you guys!
