College is officially over, for the next six weeks anyway. I have to say that I am pretty happy about it.
It was strange coming home last night and sitting down to watch some television - without being bombared by feelings of guilt for not studying harder. It is a strange feeling to be under such intense pressure and then it is all over...what do I do now??
By Friday I was wondering around the house aimlessly. I really don't know what to do with myself. Oh, that's right we are moving on the 24th so I could start packing.
But this week has certainly taken a turn for the worse. By day I am a simple receptionist but by night I am an avid painter. Yes, I decided to paint my study. What an all consuming job that has been. I, of course cannot go for a cheap brand but decide on the upper crust of paints. I also have to choose one that requires me to be a professional painter to apply. Ok, slight exaggeration, as per usual. But the various techniques are slightly tedious...especially for me with my short attention span. First, use a roller and paint huge W's all over the place. Secondly, fill in the spaces with the roller. Thirdly, use the roller and paint in up and down strokes to even the colour,....then use a paint brush to paint X's all over the place AND then you should have a cool textured effect. Or being an amateur painter like myself you might still have to touch up some areas because the effect is still not perfect.
So after 3 tubs of paint I return to my local paint store only to be informed that they are out of stock and the room will have to wait...
So I am still waiting...
