Obviously, I began typing this post about a month ago....as Winter quarter is well and truly over, and I have completed my first English class - with a 3.8 GPA I might add. I loved this class so much that it will definitely be just one of the many English classes that I will take. Actually, English excites me. If I could do anything, and money was not an option, I would love to study English Literature at Trinity College in Dublin. It would be awesome to be surrounded by such wonderful architecture and a college with such a rich history fo great men and women who have wandered down the halls.
Yeh, I know what does that have to do with my future plans of getting into the area of Criminal Justice? Nothing. But it is a nice escape from dealing with crime. I sometimes feel like I have a split personality. Faith the Introvert would like to stay in my study all day long reading books, writing poetry and listening to Sylvia Plath read her poetry on tape, and Faith the extrovert would love to get down and dirty with everthing involving people and crime in our society; murder, rape, all those interesting brutal crimes. I want to know why one person who has experienced a less-than-happy childhood decides to go on a killing spree, while another person grows up to contribute to our society in a positive way? So many questions and so few answers.
Well, it certainly has been a hectic three months which is why I have posted very little on my blog. I guess I have also been trying to conserve my creative juices for writing creative papers? Of course, the class is now over and exhaustion has taken over. Well, it took over for a week and now Spring quarter is here. Anyway, I have just completed another 5 credits...only 65 credits to go and then I can transfer to UW. I decided that earning 5 credits per quarter is going to take me forever, so I have decided to up the antics and take 2 courses this quarter. I have decided to take Art 105 on campus because I love art and I am hoping it won't be too demanding, and I am taking 'Gender, Violence & Social Change' online so we will see how much free time I have this quarter.
